We are entering year 10 of our Drug Free Communities grant and as this 10 year cycle comes to a close, we must continue the efforts to bring various stakeholders together to reassess our current needs and resources as it relates to our mission: to reduce substance abuse in youth and to create community culture supporting healthy choices and responsible behaviors in youth and adults. Taking the time to evaluate our programs and methods gives us an opportunity to grow and we are able to apply for funding through the Department of Behavioral Health and Recovery to help us carry out our mission and goals.
The process can be long and involved but very worth our efforts. Please join in the conversation either by volunteering on one of our Boards or Action Committees or joining us at the table of these meetings to offer your insight. We all have a stake in living in a healthy community.
